On September 17, around 20:00 an emergency call was received to 112 Operative Management Center of the MIA that two citizens had become lost in the area of Mount Khustup: the rescues’ help was needed.

Upon receiving the call, Kapan Fire and Rescue Squad immediately dispatched to the scene. 14 rescuers and one patrol unit from the Eco-Patrol Service participated in the search operations.

The search efforts in the difficult terrain continued throughout the night.

As a result of the extensive search operation, the rescuers found the lost citizens around 23:00 in a forest adjacent to "Kol" area along the road leading from Vachagan village to Mount Khustup.
