Rescuers in Gyumri town responded promptly to accidents due to wind and flooding
On August 16, from16:33, the emergency calls were received to Shirak Regional Operational Management Center that the basements and yard areas had been flooded, tree branches had been broken and an electric pole had been bent at a number of addresses in Gyumri town due to wind and heavy rain.
The operative groups and one fire units from the Fire and Rescue Squads of Regional Rescue Department of the Rescue Service of the MIA of RA dispatched to the scene.
The responding promptly to all accidents, rescuers implemented the activities to block areas, drain water from basements and yard areas using motor pumps (a total of about 85 cubic meters), as well as cut and remove broken branches.
