On November 21, information was received to Gegharkunik Regional Department of the Rescue Service of the MIA that a fire had broken out in Chambarak-Ttujur section: grassland had been on fire on the hillside.

An appropriate response was organized. Five fire units and four operative groups from Gegharkunik and Tavush Regional Departments of the Rescue Service of MIA were involved in the firefighting operations.

According to preliminary data, 70-80 hectares of grassland had been on fire. The firefighters managed to prevent the fire from spreading to forested areas and residential areas.

At present, 90 rescuers are extinguishing the fire.
