From October 17 to 18  the departments of the Rescue Service of MIA conducted enhanced service throughout the Republic due to weather conditions

According to the instructions of the RS Director-IA Deputy Minister, r/s Major General Kamo Tsutsulyan, from October 17 to 18 the departments of the Rescue Service throughout the Republic were put on enhanced service due to the weather conditions, during which they conducted tours and visual inspections.

The tours and visual inspections were aimed at preventing potential emergency cases caused by torrential rain.

Starting from 18:00 on October 17, observations were conducted in all regions and Yerevan city of the Republic, along in the coastal areas of rivers and in other hazardous areas at two-hour intervals.

5 cases were registered in the Rescue Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs due to the torrential rain. The rescuers responding promptly to the emergency calls, carried out a series of necessary actions. In particular, the autoladdder of Fire and Rescue Squad No. 8 of the Yerevan Rescue Department dispatched to the scene in order to provide support for the roof repair activities at 31 Khanjyan Street of Yerevan city, the duty group of Center for Carrying out Activities of Special Importance of the Rescue Forces Department of the Rescue Service of MIA of RA conducted drainage activities In the auxiliary building at 49 Shirak street, the rescuers pulled a stuck car out of a puddle of accumulated rainwater near address 26/13 of the 2nd block of Davtashen administrative district.

The rescuers implemented rainwater removal and other activities from residential buildings and basement floors in Hrazdan town of Kotayk province, in Getapnya settlement of Ararat province to reduce the damages by adverse weather conditions.
