During November, subdivisions under the Yerevan Rescue Department of the Rescue Service conducted courses, facility-based, headquarters, and special tactical exercises in the field of population protection and emergency situations at a number of facilities and organizations.
In particular, keeping consistent monitoring of fire safety and a responsible approach at the center of attention, special tactical exercises on firefighting operations were organized and conducted at educational and cultural institutions, production facilities, administrative buildings, and commercial centers, the purpose of which was to increase participants' preparedness and develop practical skills.
At the same time, special tactical and facility-based exercises were conducted at a number of schools and medical institutions, which concerned the organization of civil protection measures. During the exercises, alerts, evacuations, and sheltering were carried out with the aim of developing not only the professional skills of rescue service personnel, but also improving the cooperation of involved formations and responding forces.
In addition, a headquarters exercise was conducted aimed at organizing population protection in the event of a strong earthquake, the purpose of which was to test participants' abilities in making decisions regarding population protection measures in the event of a strong earthquake, as well as to develop and strengthen cooperation with state governing bodies, local self-government bodies, relevant services, and organizations.
Emphasizing the need to equip the population with appropriate theoretical knowledge, thematic courses were also conducted within the framework of educational activities aimed at compliance with fire safety rules.
