Firefighting operations were continuing intensively in Chambarak–Ttujur section

As of 20:00 on November 25, two of the fire hearths that had broken out in Chambarak-Ttujur section of Gegharkunik province were extinguished and the remaining hearths were localized as a result of the prompt actions of firefighters and rescuers.

It should be recalled that on November 21, information was received to Gegharkunik Regional Department of the Rescue Service of MIA that a fire had broken out in Chambarak-Ttujur section: grassland had been on fire on the hillside.

An appropriate response was organized.  The units from Yerevan, Gegharkunik, Lori, Kotayk, and Tavush Regional Rescue Departments, the divisions of the Management Division for Firefighting and Rescue Activities of Yerevan Rescue Department and the Rescue Forces Departments, the rescue group from the Center for Carrying out Activities of Special Importance of the Rescue Service of MIA were involved in firefighting operations.

Two of the fire heaths were extinguished as a result of the prompt actions of firefighters. The employees of the Police, the Eco-Patrol Service of the MIA and residents of nearby villages were also involved in the firefighting operations.

On November 24 as 11:00 the firefighting operations were continuing intensively in Chambarak–Ttujur section: 343 rescuers were participating in the activities, 6 main pieces of equipment and helicopter of MOD of RA, unmanned aerial vehicles are being used.

In total, 1194 rescuers, 16 main and 88 auxiliary equipment participated in the firefighting operations. The search and firefighting operation were implemented by a MOD helicopter (23 flights).
