The first-ever “Best Collective unit” competition brought together teams from the capital and regional subdivisions of the Rescue Service: they competed to earn the title of the best. 

"Such tournaments have been organized before, but this is the first time on this scale, with participants from Yerevan and all Regional Departments participating", said the RS Deputy Director Arsen Mkrtchyan.

12 teams participated, as well as the Fire and Rescue Team  of the Armenian Nuclear Power Plant of the Rescue Service.

The tournament was also supervised by the instructional staff of the Russian-Armenian Humanitarian Response Center.

The tournament was held in four stages: firefighting, operations of anti-smoke units, first aid and evacuation of casualties.

The desire not only to win but also to improve one's own knowledge is important in healthy competitive conditions.

The refereeing team took every detail into account during the competition: while a mistake here may cost only a point, in real life it can cost a human life.

At the end of the tournament, the RS Director presented cups to the best teams congratulating the participants. The first cup of the “Best Collactive Unit” tournament was won by the team from the capital.

The runner-up and third place were taken by the teams from Armavir and Kotayk Regional Departments.

The tournament will be ongoing.
