Firefighters extinguished the fire
On February 17, at 21:28, Tavush Regional Operative Management Center received an emergency call that smoke had been observed near a cemetery in Ijevan town.
Two operative groups of the Regional Rescue Department of the Rescue Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and two fire units from the Fire and Rescue Squad dispatched to the scene.
It turned out that the fire broke out in the area adjacent to the cemetery on Blbulyan Street.
The fire was localized at 22:44 and extinguished at 23:44. The grassland was burnt.

The training conducted by the Rescue Forces Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Rescue Service in Armavir region was aimed at increasing the efficiency of the fire and rescue service and developing the skills of the personnel.
Fire and Rescue Squads subordinate to the Armavir Regional Rescue Department participated in the two-day training process.
The training on "Fire and tactical theoretical and practical training, implementation of fire analysis and preparation of documents for special tactical exercises" included the key areas of fire and rescue activities: study of fire development patterns, features of the use of modern fire and tactical equipment and techniques, methodology of fire and rescue operations in various types of facilities, so on.
During the practical training, the participants performed exercises on modeling fire-tactical operations, developing team cooperation, quick decision-making skills, as well as coordinating actions in special situations.
Within the framework of the training, special attention was also paid to the standards for compiling analytical reports on fires, developing tactical training plans, standards for recording rescue operations and modernized methods of document circulation.
The continuous organization of professional courses contributes to a quick, coordinated and effective response to emergency situations, as well as to increasing the safety of the population.
