On September 21, at 19։04 an emergency call was received to Crisis Management National Center that fire had broken out in an office of Yerevan Medical University.

Four fire units from Fire and Rescue Squads and the group on duty of the Management Division for Firefighting and Rescue Activities of Yerevan Rescue Department, as well as the CBRN responder of Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear Situation Monitoring Division of the Rescue Service of the MIA of RA dispatched to the scene.

It turned out that the fire broke out in the laboratory on the 7th floor of the university.

The fire was localized at 19:50 and extinguished at 20:14. The laboratory with its equipment (about 6 square meters) and the suspended ceiling of the corridor (about 12 square meters) were burned. One person was hospitalized in a medical center.

The firefighters prevented the fire from spreading to adjacent rooms.
