On January 17, at 11:43 an emergency call was received to Lori Regional Crisis Management Center that grassland had been on Vanadzor-Spitak roadway.

Two operative groups and six fire units from the Fire and Rescue Squads of Regional Rescue Department of the Rescue Service of the MIA of RA dispatched to the scene. 

It turned out that the fire broke out on a mountain on the right side of the 7th km of Vanadzor-Spitak roadway.

The fire was localized at 16:25 and extinguished at 17:10. The grassland was burnt.

The rescuers prevented the fire from spreading to Gugark and Arjut villages.
