At the press center of the "Armenpress" news agency, Deputy Head of the Rescue Forces Department of the Rescue Service of MIA, r/s Colonel Bagrat Vardazaryan presented the fire risk situation in the Republic and the measures taken against it, as well as statistical data.
In particular:

• According to statistics, there has been an increase in the number of fires in the first half of this year compared to the same period last year.
• As a preventive measure, the “Nikita Mobile” short message alert system operates at the Crisis Management National Center of the Rescue Service, through which regional personnel are informed about the situation.
• According to the directive of the RS Director, public awareness campaigns have resumed with the aim of continuously monitoring potential fire risk situations in forests and grassland areas, preventing fires, ensuring rapid response and carrying out firefighting measures. The patrols are being conducted, posters are being put up, safety rule flyers are being distributed and public notifications are being made via loudspeakers in recreational and tourist areas.
• The rapid response of volunteer groups in forest-adjacent settlements can help prevent the spread of wildfires before the arrival of primary emergency forces.

The Deputy Head of the Rescue Forces Department of the Rescue Service emphasized the importance of coordinated efforts among relevant structures and highlighted that only through joint work, vigilance and timely awareness will it be possible to reduce the risk of fires and avoid their severe results.
