Fire on Arno Babajanyan Street
On December 30, at 12:00 an emergency call was received to Crisis Management National Center that fire had broken out in an apartment on the 5th floor of a building on Arno Babajanyan Street of Yerevan city.
By "BIS 1” call of fire complexity, four more fire units and one autoladder from the Fire and Rescue Squads, the group on duty from Management Division for Firefighting and Rescue Activities of Yerevan Rescue Department and the operative group from Crisis Management National Center, The psychologist on duty of Psychological Assistance Division of the Rescue Service of MIA of RA dispatched to the scene.
The rescuers evacuated 11 citizens from different floors of the building using an elevator and pulled one stuck citizen out of the elevator due to a power outage.
The psychologist on duty at the Psychological Assistance Division provided psychological support to 10 citizens.
The fire was localized at 13:11 and extinguished at 13:26. The apartment, the kitchen windows of an apartment on the 6th floor were burnt, the living room (25 square meters) of the same apartment including furniture and the kitchen (15 square meters) were damaged.
