On January 28, at 15:42 an emergency call was received to Crisis Management National Center that fire had broken out in the storage area of a furniture factory on Arin Berdi Street of Yerevan city.

Six fire units and the group on duty from Management Division for Firefighting and Rescue Activities the Fire and Rescue Squads of Yerevan Rescue Department, the groups on duty from Medical Care Provision and the Management Division for Firefighting and Rescue Activities of Rescue Forces Departments, the operative group from Crisis Management National Center of the Rescue Service of the MIA of RA dispatched to the scene.

"N 2” fire complexity was announced.

“N 3” fire complexity was announced at 17:30: four more fire units from the Fire and Rescue Squad of Yerevan Rescue Department of the Rescue Service of the MIA of RA left for the scene.

The fire was localized at 19:19 and extinguished on January 29 at 09:03. The kitchen furniture and appliances in the storage area of the second floor of the three-story building were burnt.

The Director of the Rescue Service - Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs, r/s Major General Kamo Tsutsulyan, the RS Deputy Directors, r/s Colonel Tigran Petrosyan and r/s Lieutenant Colonel Artur Vardanyan, as well as other officials were at the scene.
