On August 31, at 15։03 an emergency call was received to Vaots Dzor Regional Crisis Management Center that smoke had noticed on the mountain near Ughedzor village.

The fire units and opertive groups from Fire and Rescue Squads of Regional Rescue Department of the Rescue Service of the MIA of RA dispatched to the scene.

It turned out that a fire broke out in the area adjacent to the 163rd km of Yerevan-Meghri roadway.

The personnel gathering was announced.

The fire was localized on September 1 at 07:38 and extinguished at 17:10. The grassland and vegetation were burnt.

About 40 rescuers and 8 volunteers from the volunteer group of Martiros village were involved in the firefighting operations.
