On December 29, at 14։32 an emergency call was received to Gegharkunik Regional Crisis Management Center that the roof of the former cheese factory had been on fire in Vardenis town.

Two fire units from the Fire and Rescue Squad of the Regional Rescue Department of the Rescue Service of the MIA of RA was dispatched to the scene.

It turned out that the fire broke out on the roof (total area of ​​5,000 square meters) of the former cheese factory  on Viktor Hambardzumyan Street.

The fire was localized at 15:17 and extinguished at 15:58. The wooden constructions of the roof (about 100 square meters) were partially burnt.

The firefighters prevented the fire from spreading to the remaining parts of the roof.
