On May 17, at 09:27 an emergency call was received to Lori Regional Crisis Management Center that smoke had been noticed in the entrance of a building on Grigor Lusavorich Street in Vanadzor town.

Two fire units from the Fire and Rescue Squad of Regional Rescue Department of the Rescue Service of the MIA of RA dispatched to the scene.

It turned out that a fire broke out in the electrical meter panel between the first and second floors of a building on Grigor Lusavorich Street.

The fire was localized at 09:40 and extinguished at 09:43. The electrical meter panel (15 meters) between the first and second floors was burnt.

The rescuers evacuated 15 residents. One of the evacuated residents was hospitalized in a medical center.
