On December 31, at 17:57 an emergency call was received to Syunik Regional Crisis Management Center that drying room had been on fire on Gortsaranayin Street in Meghri towj.

One fire unit from the Fire and Rescue Squad of Regional Rescue Department of the Rescue Service of the MIA of RA dispatched to the scene.

The fire was localized at 19:10 and extinguished at 19:40  The cardboard and plastic boxes (about 250 pieces) were burn on the first floor of the two-storey building (30 square meters) and about 3 tons of stored dried apricots were damaged.
