On August 2, at 19:49, an emergency call was received to the Crisis Management National Center that there had been a fire in an apartment on Vilnius Street in Yerevan city.

Three fire units from the Fire and Rescue Squads from Yerevan Rescue Department, groups on duty from the Management Division for Firefighting and Rescue Activities and Medical care provision of the Rescue Service of the MIA of RA dispatched to the scene.

The fire was localized at 20:08 and extinguished at 20:19. Furniture and appliances in the living room (about 10 square meters), kitchen (about 5 square meters), and balcony (about 5 square meters) were burnt.

Rescuers evacuated approximately 50 residents from the building.
