On January 26, at 13:40 an emergency call was received to Crisis Management National Center that fire had broken out in an apartment on the first floor of a building on Shirak Street of Yerevan city.

Two fire units from the Fire and Rescue Squads of Yerevan Rescue Department of the Rescue Service of the MIA of RA dispatched to the scene. 

Before the rescuers arrived at the scene, G. M. (born 1986) had been hospitalized in a medical center.

The fire was localized at 14:07 and extinguished at 14:22. The living room, kitchen and hallway of the apartment with furniture (about 23 square meters) were burnt, 2 bedrooms (about 20 square meters) were damaged.

The rescuers evacuated 16 citizens from the building.
