On August 24, at 10։13 an emergency call was received to Kotayk Regional Crisis Management Center that fire had broken out in the field near the "Badal" statue in Arapars village.

Two fire units from the Fire and Rescue Squad of Regional Rescue Department of the Rescue Service of the MIA of RA dispatched to the scene.  

The fire was localized at 14:40 and extinguished at 17:58.

About 10 ha of mowed fields and grassland (about 15 ha) were burnt. 15 residents of the community participated in the firefighting activities.
