On January 21, at 10։52 an emergency call was received to Lori Regional Crisis Management Center that fire had broken out in a kindergarten in Spitak town.

One fire unit from the Fire and Rescue Squad of Regional Rescue Department of the Rescue Service of the MIA of RA dispatched to the scene. 

The fire was localized at 11:06 and extinguished at 11:09. About 1 square meter of the suspended ceiling of the bathroom was burnt. The rescuers alongside local forces, evacuated 117 pupils and 29 employees.
