On February 22, at 17։54 an emergency call was received to 122 Operative Management Center of the MIA that fire had broken out at a furniture factory in Merdzavan village of Armavir province.

By "1 BIS" degree of fire complexity, four fire units from the Fire and Rescue Squads Rescue Department, the duty groups of the Management Division for Firefighting and Rescue Activities of Yerevan Rescue Department and the Psychological Assistance and Medical Care Provision Department of the Rescue Service of MIA of RA dispatched to the scene.

Another fire unit left for the scene to provide assistance.

The fire was localized at 18:32 and extinguished at 19:25. The timber, materials for the production of upholstered furniture and four machines in the furniture workshop were burnt.

The firefighters prevented the fire from spreading to the adjacent storage area.
