On February 8, at 04։42 an emergency call was received to Lori Regional Crisis Management Center that fire had broken out in a building of Ashotaberd block in Stepanavan town.

Two fire units from the Fire and Rescue Squad of Regional Rescue Department of the Rescue Service of the MIA of RA dispatched at the scene. 

It turned out that the fire broke out on the 2nd floor and roof of the wooden building (approximately 450 square meters).

“N 2” degree of fire complexity was announced: two fire units and the operative group from the Fire and Rescue Squads of Regional Rescue Department of the Rescue Service of MIA of RA left for the scene: then four more fire unis as a water tanker left for the scene.

The rescuers evacuated 27 residents from the building.

The fire was localized at 11:22 and extinguished at 20:00.

The rescuers found the dead body of 1 citizen, 6 citizens were taken to a medical center.
8 fire units, 40 firefighters, as well as special equipment from Stepanavan Municipality were involved in the firefighting operations.
