On January 3, at 12։43 an emergency call was received to Tavush Regional Crisis Management Center that fire had broken out in the warehouse at Bagratashen checkpoint. 

The operative group and five fire units, one water tanker from the Fire and Rescue Squads of Regional Rescue Department of the Rescue Service and the group from the Patrol Service of the Police of MIA of RA dispatched to the scene.

It was found that there were flammable materials in the warehouse.

There were three casualties as a result of the fire (A. A. born in 1980, V. A. born in 1988 and H. M. born in 1998). The latter were hospitalized in a medical center.

The fire was localized at 14:24 and extinguished at 16:18. About 1000 square meters of the temporary storage warehouse (about 1500 square meters) of the Customs Service and Control Department of the RA State Revenue Committee at the land border crossing points of the Bagratashen checkpoint and partially the property were burnt.

The special engineering equipment (excavator) was involved in the actions. The patrolling was conducted at the scene.
