On January 19, at 01:08 an emergency call was received to Crisis Management National Center that smoke had seen from the basement of a hotel on Armenakyan Street of Yerevan city.

Four more fire units from the Fire and Rescue Squads, the group on duty from Management Division for Firefighting and Rescue Activities of Yerevan Rescue Department and the operative group from Crisis Management National Center and the group on duty Medical Care Provision Department of the Rescue Service of MIA of RA dispatched to the scene.

The fire was localized at 01:42 and extinguished at 01:59. An electrical panel, 50 meters of cable and 1 square meter of household items were burnt in the basement, as well as 3 square meters of suspended ceiling were damaged and 17 citizens were evacuated.
