On August 18, at 10։54 an emergency call was received to Crisis Management National Center that fire had broken out in an apartment on the 10th floor of a building on Nar-Dos Street in Yerevan city: there was a citizen inside who was unwell.

Four fire units and one autoladder from the Fire and Rescue Squads of Yerevan Rescue Department, the duty group from the Psychological Assistance the Medical Care Provision Department of the Rescue Service of the MIA of RA dispatched to the scene.  

According to preliminary information, the fire broke out in the bedroom of the apartment.

As a result of the prompt actions of firefighters, the fire was localized at 11:30 and extinguished at 11:38. The bedroom with property (about 20 square meters) was burnt and the walls (about 4 square meters) of the hall were damaged by heat.

The rescuers brought the smoke inhalation citizen out of the apartment and moved to the ambulance. The ambulance personal recorded the death of the woman (born in 1939).

The circumstances are being clarified.
