On August 20, at 19։19, the emergency call was received to 112 Operative Management Center of the MIA that grassland had been on fire near Ashtarak Highway of Yerevan city.

Four fire units from the Fire and Rescue Squads, the duty group from the Management Division for Firefighting and Rescue Activities of Yerevan Rescue Department, the duty group from Psychological Assistance and Medical Care Provision Department of the Rescue Service of the MIA of RA dispatched to the scene.

The fire was contained at 20։12 and extinguished at 20։44. About 2 ha of grassland, about 500 tires and about 10 square meters of the roof of the car service station were burnt.

The firefighters prevented the fire from spreading to a nearby gas station and gas pipelines.
