On September 16, at 12։10, an emergency call was received to Kotayk Regional Operative Management Center that haystack had been on fire in Akunk settlement.

Two fire units from the Fire and Rescue Squads of Regional Rescue Department of the Rescue Service of the MIA of RA dispatched to the scene.

The fire was localized at 18:15 and extinguished at 21:45.

Two municipal water tankers, about 20 village residents, five trucks and two specialized tractors were involved in the firefighting operations. About 7,000 bales of hay and some worn-out tires burned.

The firefighters and rescuers prevented the fire from spreading.
