On August 8, at 18։20 an emergency call was received to 112 Operative Management Center of the MIA that fire had broken out on the eighth floor of a building on Sayat-Nova Avenue in Yerevan city.

Four fire units, one autoladder from the Fire and Rescue Squads, the duty group from the Management Division for Firefighting and Rescue Activities of Yerevan Rescue Department, the duty group from Psychological Assistance and Medical Care Provision Department of the Rescue Service of the MIA of RA dispatched to the scene.

The fire was localized at 19:19 and extinguished at 19:36. About 50 square meters of the apartment, including the property, the bathroom and the windows of an apartment on the ninth floor were burnt.

The firefighters evacuated 5 residents from the building.

The fire was prevented from spreading to adjacent apartments.
