Festive events were held in all regions of the Republic on the occasion of Rescuer's Day
On September 4, on the occasion of Rescuer's Day, the Rescue Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs conducted large-scale information, training and awareness-raising events in all regions of the Republic. The aim of the events was to raise the level of awareness in the population prevention and correct response to emergency situations, as well as to present the important mission of the rescuer in ensuring public safety.
Lectures, seminars and practical trainings were held in a number of educational institutions. The functions of the service, the peculiarities of a rescuer’s activities, technical means, safety and conduct rules and emergency response procedures were presented.
During the practical trainings, fire and rescue equipment was demonstrated, as well as methods of its using were demonstrated and explained. The participants had the opportunity to get acquainted with the rescue vehicles, equipment and property, participate in the combat readiness.
During the events, a brochure on “If crisis or war comes” was distributed to the participants, as well as educational videos were shown at the same time.
Award ceremonies were also held on the occasion of Rescuer’s Day, within the framework of which rescuers were encouraged with certificates of honor and letters of appreciation for their dedication and high professional training.
In parallel with the festive events, exhibitions were also held with the display of individual paintings made by students on the theme of emergency situations, which once again emphasized the importance of the rescuer's profession and the high appreciation of society.
These initiatives dedicated to the Rescuer's Day was as an effective platform for strengthening communication with the public, forming a safety culture and valuing the role of a rescuer.
