On October 19, at 06։34 an emergency call was received to Gegharkunik Regional Crisis Management Center that explosion had occurred in an apartment in a building on Mikayelyan Street in Gavar town.

Two fire units from the Fire and Rescue Squad of Regional Rescue Department of the Rescue Service of the MIA of RA was dispatched to the scene. 

It turned out that, according to preliminary data, there was a gas leak and an explosion in the apartment.

Before the rescuers arrived at the scene, one citizen had been hospitalized in a medical center.

The kitchen partition collapsed, the facing tiles of the building, the windows of several apartments and a car parked in the yard were damaged.

The rescuers implemented the search activities at the scene, removed dangerous objects and demarcated the area.
