On December 1, an emergency call was received to Aragatsotn Regional Crisis Management Center that two members of a three-member expedition team had fallen from a slope near Mount Aragats and received varying degrees of injuries in the area of the waterfall in Gegharot River: the rescuers’ help was needed. The caller was Levon Harutyunyan, a member of the expedition team.

20 firefighters, 5 mountaineers from the Armenian Mountaineering and Mountain Tourism Federation and one snowmobile of the Hydroelectric power plant were involved in the search and rescue activities. The vehicles transporting the group members were located in the area of a nearby Hydroelectric power plant, due to impassable road as a result of heavy snowfall. One of the women of the three-member expedition is under medical supervision: she had fractures and frostbite on her legs and her health condition was assessed as stable. Levon suffered a fractured nose: the surgery was performed.
