Rapid and effective response for safety and health: the Rescue Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs regularly conducted exercises under this motto.

On the occasion of World Civil Defense Day, another exercise was held on the premises of a private company in Yerevan city.

Various units of the Rescue Service, patrol units of the Police of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, emergency medical service personnel, as well as emergency teams from Veolia Water, Yerevan Gas and Electric Networks of Armenia companies were involved.

According to the scenario, as a result of the bombing, buildings and utility and energy systems were damaged in the territory of the company, fires broke and there were collapses.

An "Air-raid" warning siren were used. The shelter and evacuation of employees were conducted. The rescuers who arrived at the scene implemented reconnaissance and extrication. The operative headquarters was formed.

The comprehensive response process was being simulated: the scene was blocked off, in one section the spread of ammonia was prevented and the leak was stopped, in another one search and sapper activities were implemented and the ammunition detected by mine detectors was transported to a safe area. At the same time, rescue and firefighting operations were conducted: the casualties were evacuated from the roof of the building, from the rubble and from a damaged vehicle using a ladder truck and ropes. First aid was provided to all of them. The task was completed and the issues were resolved.

At the end of the training, the activity was summarized, shortcomings were identified and appropriate instructions were given.

The civil defense has been and remains the main priorities of the Rescue Service of the MIA.
