On the occasion of World Civil Defense Day, Ararat and Syunik Regional Rescue Departments and subordinate units of the Rescue Service of RA Ministry of Internal Affairs organized and implemented a number of events aimed at raising the awareness and level of preparedness of the population.

Within the framework of these events, special tactical training exercises on "Organization of Evacuation Measures" and "Organization of shelter measures in case of an "Air-raid" warning siren" were held in the general education institutions of Artashat, Masis, Ararat communities of Ararat province and a number of settlements and towns of Syunik province. The main goal of the exercises was to test the participants' preparedness in emergency situations, as well as to provide an opportunity to acquire applied skills.

During the training, participants were provided with information flyers that presented the basic principles of civil defense, emergency prevention measures and codes of conduct during them. The main goal of this initiative was to develop the skills of the participants, enabling them to more effectively confront various disasters threatening the Republic.

Such initiatives are essential in ensuring the safety of the population and responding quickly and organized to potential threats.
