Ensuring public safety is a priority of the MIA: Yerevan Rescue Department of the Rescue Service conducted a number of events
During the month of April, Yerevan Rescue Department of the MIA Rescue Service organized and conducted training exercises at a number of educational institutions, as well as public, industrial, commercial, and other organizations in the capital, aimed at raising the level of public protection and developing response capabilities in emergency situations.
Special tactical, facility-based, and staff exercises were conducted, during which practical mechanisms for organizing and carrying out firefighting operations were developed and tested, evacuation operations were carried out, and scenarios were developed for acting correctly and in a coordinated manner under conditions of earthquake, "Air-raid" warning siren", and possible enemy attack. Special attention was given to alerting, sheltering, and safety measures, as well as to improving the rapid response and coordination effectiveness of management bodies.
Emphasizing the concept of forming and developing a public and volunteer rescue movement on the territory of the Republic of Armenia, courses were organized at several universities, where students were introduced to the specifics of using rescue equipment, as well as a number of issues related to safety rules and the effective organization of fire and rescue operations.
Theoretical and practical classes were conducted at a number of kindergartens, during which the rules of conduct in case of fire, the basics of first aid, and the practical skills of using primary firefighting equipment were presented.
