Ensuring public safety as a priority: the Rescue Service conducted events on “Getting to know our schools: safe entry and exit”

The development of vital life-saving skills and the ability to respond quickly and correctly in emergency situations are priorities at the core of the activities of the Rescue Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. The Service regularly conducted special tactical drills, exercises and training seminars aimed at enhancing public preparedness.

The Rescue Service was focused on conducting measures aimed at ensuring safety in educational institutions. In this context, events on " Getting to know our schools: safe entry and exit" were held in schools across the country, which included recognition of evacuation routes, mastery of safety rules, development of skills for correct behavior in various emergency situations and other topics that ensure the development of skills for practical application of theoretical knowledge.

During the training, pupils and teachers were particularly familiarized with evacuation schemes, signals for various emergency situations, the characteristics of possible dangers and the necessary actions in case of them, so on.

Guidebook on “Code of Conduct for Disasters Threatening Armenia” was also provided, covering possible dangers, their prevention and ensuring safety in emergency situations.

The Rescue service specialists also organized meetings and conversations with residents in communities, during which emergency situations, mitigating their consequences, taking actions in specific situations and other issues related to the topic were discussed.
