On August 8, at 16:31 an emergency call was received to Crisis Management National Center that fire had broken out on the entrance balcony of a building in Norashen block of Yerevan city: electrical wires were burning.

Three fire units, one autoladder from the Fire and Rescue Squads of Yerevan Rescue Department and the operative group from Crisis Management National Center of the Rescue Service of the MIA of RA dispatched to the scene.

It turned out that the fire broke out on the 3rd and 4th floors of the entrance of the building.

The rescuers evacuated 50 citizens from the building. There were no casualties.

The fire was localized at 17:05, extinguished at 17:13. 10 gas meters, household items, an apartment and the doors of the entrance on the 3rd and 4th floors were burnt.
