The emergency call was received from a citizen to the Yerevan Municipality that a tree had broken and fallen into the Hrazdan River near the water pipeline of “Veolia Djur” CJSC thereby obstructing the natural flow of the river at 26 Dzorap Street of Yerevan city.

Given that the tree was located in a hazardous and difficult-to-pass area, it became necessary to involve rescue forces to remove the fallen tree from the water.

The fire units from No. 1 and No. 5 Fire and Rescue Squads of Yerevan Rescue Department of the Rescue Service of MIA of RA promptly responded to the accident.

Under the supervision of the staff of the Management Division for Firefighting and Rescue Activities, operations were immediately launched as the scene. Using rescue tools, the rescuers cut the broken tree into pieces and safely removed it from the riverbed: the natural flow of water was restored.
