On August 16, at 08:31 local time (GMT+4 hours) the Seismological Network of the Territorial Seismic Protection Service of the MIA of RA registered an earthquake of magnitude 3.5 and 10 kilometers deep with the geographic coordinates 41.01⁰N latitude and 46.06⁰ E longitude on 38 km 38 km east of Tovuz town of the Republic of Azerbaijan. 

The intensity of the earthquake in the epicenter was IV-V.

The earthquake was felt in Voskevan, Artsvaberd, Nerkin Karmiraghbyur, Aygedzor and Chinari villages of Tavush province with the intensity of II-III.
