On December 9, at 00:15 local time (GMT+4 hours) the Seismological Network of the Territorial Seismic Protection Service of the MIA of RA registered an earthquake of magnitude 1.9 and 10 kilometers deep with the geographic coordinates 40․07⁰N latitude and 44.80⁰E longitude on 9 km south-east from Garni village of RA.

The intensity of the earthquake in the epicenter was II-III.

The earthquake was felt in Garni and Goght villages in Kotayk province, as well as in Yerevan city with the intensity of II-III.
