Earthquake hit 8 km north from Spitak town
On June 28, at 01:40 local time (GMT+4 hours) the Seismological Network of the Territorial Seismic Protection Service of the MIA of RA registered an earthquake of magnitude 2.9 and 10 kilometers deep with the geographic coordinates 40.90⁰N latitude and 44․28⁰E longitude on 8 km north from Spitak town of the Republic of Armenia.
The intensity of the earthquake in the epicenter was V.
The earthquake was felt in Spitak town, as well as in Lernapat, Arjut, Arevasogh, Darpas and Gogaran villages of Lori province with the intensity of II-III.
