Earthquake hit 8 km north from Spitak town

On March 24, at 15:37 local time (GMT+4 hours) the Seismological Network of the Territorial Seismic Protection Service of the MIA of RA registered an earthquake of magnitude 2.6 and 10 kilometers deep with the geographic coordinates 40.90⁰ N latitude and  44.28⁰ E longitude on 8 km north from Spitak town of the Republic of Armenia.

The intensity of the earthquake in the epicenter was III-IV.

The earthquake was felt in Spitak town and in Shenavan, Arevashogh and Karadzor villages of Lori province with the intensity of III.
