Earthquake hit 5 km north-east from Shoghakat villae of Gegharkunik province

On December 31, at 00:50 local time (GMT+4 hours) the Seismological Network of the Territorial Seismic Protection Service of the MIA of RA registered an earthquake of magnitude 3.2 and 10 kilometers deep with the geographic coordinates 40․54⁰N latitude and 45.29⁰E longitude on 5 km north-east from Shoghakat village of Gegharkunik province of the Republic of Armenia.

The intensity of the earthquake in the epicenter was IV.

The earthquake was felt in Chambarak town and Shoghakat, Aghberk, Artanish, Vahan villages of Gegharkunik province with the intensity of III.
