Earthquake hit 28 km north from Maku town in Iran-Turkey border zone
On June 30, at 12:53 local time (GMT+4 hours) the Seismological Network of the Territorial Seismic Protection Service of the MIA of RA registered an earthquake of magnitude 3.9 and 10 kilometers deep with the geographic coordinates 39.54⁰N latitude and 44․52⁰E longitude on 28 km north from Maku town in Iran-Turkey border zone.
The intensity of the earthquake in the epicenter was V.
The earthquake was felt in Ararat province with the intensity of IV, in Yelpin and Chiva villages of Vayots Dzor province with the intensity of III, as well as in Yerevan city with the intensity of II-III.
