Earthquake hit 13 km south-east from Gavar town

On May 1, at 07:47 local time (GMT+4 hours) the Seismological Network of the Territorial Seismic Protection Service of the MIA of RA registered an earthquake of magnitude 2.8 and 10 kilometers deep with the geographic coordinates  40.25⁰ N latitude and 45․20⁰ E longitude on 13 km south-east from Gavar town in Armenia.

The intensity of the earthquake in the epicenter was II-IV.

The earthquake was felt in Gavar and Martuni towns, as well as Yranos, Vardadzor, Dzoragyugh, Sarukhan, Lanjaghbyur villages with the intensity of Gegharkunik province with the intensity of II-III.
