Earthquake hit 12 km south from Gavar town

On May 2, at 09:12 local time (GMT+4 hours) the Seismological Network of the Territorial Seismic Protection Service of the MIA of RA registered an earthquake of magnitude 2.0 and 10 kilometers deep with the geographic coordinates 40.24⁰N latitude and 45․10⁰E longitude on 12 km south from Gavar town of the Republic of Armenia.

The intensity of the earthquake in the epicenter was II-III.

The earthquake was felt in Yeranos and Sarukhan villages of Gegharkunik province with the intensity of II.
