Earthquake hit 1 km north from Spitak town

On January 11, at 18:31 local time (GMT+4 hours) the Seismological Network of the Territorial Seismic Protection Service of the MIA of RA registered an earthquake of magnitude 2.1 and 10 kilometers deep with the geographic coordinates 40․84⁰ N latitude and 44.27⁰ E longitude on 1 km north from Spitak town of the Republic of Armenia.

The intensity of the earthquake in the epicenter was II-III.

The earthquake was felt in Spitak town and Arevashogh village of Lori province with the intensity of II-III.
