On April 8, at 00:35 local time (GMT+4 hours) the Seismological Network of the Territorial Seismic Protection Service of the MIA of RA registered an earthquake of magnitude 3.3 and 10 kilometers deep with the geographic coordinates 40.13⁰ N latitude and 46․56⁰ E longitude in the Republic of Azerbaijan. 

The intensity of the earthquake in the epicenter was IV-V.

The earthquake was felt in Vardenis town, as well as in Sotk and Kut village of Gegharkunik province with the intensity of II-III.
