Earthquake hit 6 km north-east from Spitak town

On May 9, at 08:58 local time (GMT+4 hours) the Seismological Network of the Territorial Seismic Protection Service of the MIA of RA registered an earthquake of magnitude 1.8 and 10 kilometers deep with the geographic coordinates 40.87⁰N latitude and 44․32⁰E longitude on 6 km north-east from Spitak town of Armenia.

The intensity of the earthquake in the epicenter was II.

The earthquake was felt in Arevashogh and Karadzor villages of Lori province with the intensity of II.
