On August 4, at 11։54 local time (GMT+4 hours) the Seismological Network of the Territorial Seismic Protection Service of the MIA of RA registered an earthquake of magnitude 3.0 and 10 kilometers deep with the geographic coordinates 39.40⁰N latitude and 45․81⁰E longitude in Armenia-Nakhichevan border zone on 23 km south-west from Sisian town of Armenia.

The intensity of the earthquake in the epicenter was IV.

The intensity of the earthquake in Sisian and Dastakert towns, as well as in Arevis, Tanahat, Tasik, Salvard and Torunik villages of in Syunik province in the epicenter was II-III.
